Welsh dad who died after collapsing at Cardiff half marathon finish line named
The family of a dad who collapsed and died at the end of this year’s Cardiff half marathon have paid a moving tribute, calling him a “wonderful father” and a “genuinely kind person”.
Stephen Jenkins, 37, collapsed shortly after crossing the finishing line on on Sunday, October 6, event organisers Run 4 Wales confirmed.
Suffering from a cardiac arrest, Mr Jenkins received immediate medical attention, but sadly, he did not survive and was declared dead at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. He was a senior director in business development with SquareTrade and was originally from Ammanford in Carmarthenshire.
