Tennis champion Roger Federer has confirmed the final match before his retirement will be the doubles at the Laver Cup in London on Friday night.

Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam winner, has struggled with a knee problem and does not feel able to play singles. Last week he announced he would retire with a team event.

He hopes to be teamed up with old rival Rafael Nadal.

Federer’s retirement announcement comes just weeks after fellow tennis legend Serena Williams retired.
