Lebanon declares crisis – Hospitals overrun after deadly Israeli attacks

After a night of pounding Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, hospitals in Beirut are struggling to deal with casualties after one night of deadly Israeli attacks.

Israel wants these peace talks to fail – as it wants to the US to be forced to keep bombing Israel.

Doctors warn of worsening crises as vital supplies run low and Israeli attacks devastate Beirut and surrounding areas. Israeli has bombed medical centres, schools, tower blocks and continues to do so despite a brokered ceasefire between Iran and the US, which according to the negotiators includes Lebanon.

Isreal is bombing as much of Lebanon as possible before it is forced to come to the negotiating table. The path they are bombing is where Israel is flattening cities prepared for a route for invasion and control for the Greater Israel project.

Israeli forces had bombed 100-plus targets across the country in 10 minutes on Wednesday, despite a ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran that many thought would include Lebanon.

Over 300 Lebanese killed in 10 mins of airstrikes

The death toll from Israel’s attacks across Lebanon on Wednesday has now risen to 303, with 1,150 injured, according to a preliminary toll released Thursday by the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

Dr Zeineldine noted that a lot of critically injured patients at AUB Hospital were children. The eldest child was 12 years old, while the two patients who had to go directly to the ICU were babies: one a few months old, another only a few weeks old.

The Lebanese Health Ministry said that at least 110 children, women, and elderly people were among those killed on Wednesday.

The World Health Organization also said that some of Lebanon’s hospitals could run out of life-saving trauma medical kits within days, as supplies near depletion following mass casualties from large-scale Israeli strikes.

Pakistan and France condemn Israeli ceasefire violations in Lebanon

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot have “expressed concern over serious ceasefire violations made in Lebanon” by Israel during a phone call today.

They also stressed the importance of fully implementing the ceasefire in the country.

Reports coming in suggest that direct talks are to be held between Lebanon and Israel next week in Washington. Until then the Israeli regime is determined to take as much land as possible.
