Langham Dome is one of the most popular heritage museums, that is unique in telling the story of the first-ever military simulators. Also it tells the history of RAF Langham, with its years of active history, starting with its founding in the early days of World War II.
This year sees Langham Dome reopen as a visitor centre. Its mission – to reveal the significance of the Dome and RAF Langham in the defence of Britain.
The museum is suitable for all age groups with many features aimed at children. Visitors enjoy learning about the skills taught to shoot down enemy aircraft, and are able to test out their skills on the Browning gun simulator.

Langham Dome is a wartime gunnery centre, one of only 6 remaining, and the only one open as a museum, offering a unique experience.
Built in WW2, this intriguing building utilised innovative technology to train anti-aircraft gunners. Long before digital virtual reality was invented, moving images projected onto the inside of the Dome taught trainees how to shoot down enemy.
