Horrified Netflix viewers forced to turn off ‘vile’ new true crime documentary
Netflix viewers have been so rattled by a shocking documentary about child abuse they’ve been forced to turn it off.
Uploaded to the streaming service this week, the four-part series The Outreau Case: A French Nightmare documents one of ‘the biggest scandals in French history’.
A ‘tragic affair of child abuse and judicial disaster’, it tells the story of a criminal case of paedophilia which took place between 1997 and 2000 in Outreau in northern France.
It all began when schoolteachers and social workers noticed ‘strange sexual behaviour’ from four children of the Delay-Badaoui family, leading to an investigation into potential sexual abuse.
